Rocks that move by themselves?

The Racetrack Playa is an awesome dry lake feature with “sliding stones” that leave linear “racetrack” imprints. It is located above the northwestern side of Death Valley in California. The stones move around though no one is quite sure how. Maybe it's a mentalist practicing? I'm a huge skeptic but this really intrigues me. What do you think? I'm from California, and I remember my dad telling me about a town around the area that's known for anomalies like this. Some of them were things moving uphill and streams running in the wrong direction. I think the explanation was something to do with a magnetic field underneath the surface of the earth. I don't I haven't seen it, but I do believe there are a lot of things about this universe that science hasn't explained yet.
